Nonresident Admission to Henderson County Schools.
Nonresidents must apply to attend Henderson County Schools. Nonresident Applications will be accepted from April 10-23, 2023. (Applies to Kentucky residents only.)
An online application or a paper application can only be picked up at the HCS Professional Development Center (631 North Green Street, Henderson, KY). All paper applications must be submitted to the Director of Pupil Personnel at the Professional Development Center (631 North Green Street, Henderson, KY).
The number of nonresidents accepted is limited by capacity. Capacity for each school is set based on 5% of each school's May 1, 2022 enrollment and classroom cap size.
Transportation will NOT be provided for nonresident students. Parent/Guardian must provide all transportation.
This Nonresident Application applies to Grades K-12 only. Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center and The Central Academy are not included in this process.
This application is in effect for the 23-24 school year only. Students/Families must reapply every school year.
Nonresident Applications will only be accepted from April 10-23, 2023.
Notification will be made before May 1, 2023 to communicate if their student has or has not been accepted to attend Henderson County Schools for the 2023-2024 school year.
