After checking bus routes throughout Henderson and the winter weather advisory for tomorrow, January 18th will be NTI day #3 of virtual instruction for Henderson County Schools.
Each school will be communicating specific NTI plans with their students.

This month’s community partner spotlight is the Henderson Community College Nursing Program.
We would like to thank the program for the vision screenings they do for our students in elementary and middle schools. The nursing students screened a total of 1,468 students and made 321 referrals this year.
We would also like to congratulate Director of Nursing Sarah Crick for being named the 2023 Henderson County High School Outstanding Young Alumna. We had the privilege of recognizing Sarah at the January Board of Education meeting.

We had a blue "jean" Christmas day today at our Board of Education office ❄️❄️❄️ 🎄🎄
Reminder our Board of Education office will be closed on December 25th, December 26th, December 29th, and January 1st.
During our December board meeting, we recognized Ben Dempsey, Henderson County High School Girls Soccer Coach, for being selected United Soccer Coaches Region Coach of the Year. Coach Dempsey received a medal of excellence and had his family join him for a photo. Congratulations!
Our Child Nutrition Department had a Christmas decorating contest this month and it was truly a Winter Wonderland in our school cafeterias. Congratulations to the following winners:

The company Hydro Aluminum is sponsoring the birthday program and they came to celebrate with students while in Henderson.
Congratulations to Ryan Lin of East Heights Elementary for being selected as the Henderson Fiscal Court Judge's Scholar for November 2023.
