This morning Director of Pupil Personnel Kasey Farmer Wolfe presented Niagara Elementary School with the High Attendance Award for January with an attendance of 95.4%. The award was presented to the school during the Niagara Morning News. #AttendanceMatters

After checking bus routes throughout Henderson and the winter weather advisory for tomorrow, January 18th will be NTI day #3 of virtual instruction for Henderson County Schools.
Each school will be communicating specific NTI plans with their students.
Childcare will be available and on a regular schedule at the following locations: Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center, Bend Gate Elementary, and East Heights Elementary School.

This month’s community partner spotlight is the Henderson Community College Nursing Program.
We would like to thank the program for the vision screenings they do for our students in elementary and middle schools. The nursing students screened a total of 1,468 students and made 321 referrals this year.
We would also like to congratulate Director of Nursing Sarah Crick for being named the 2023 Henderson County High School Outstanding Young Alumna. We had the privilege of recognizing Sarah at the January Board of Education meeting.
